To give an overview of subscription campaign sharing.

...

A subscription campaign (SC) is a relation , which tells you that a specific instance of a subscription can make use of a specific instance of a campaign.

In the CDRator The Rator system makes it is possible to share SCs. This means that after a an SC has been is created, the instance of the campaign can be set up to be usable used by other entities than the subscription itself.

Basic Overview of SubscriptionCampaign Sharing

The figure below depicts illustrates in a very schematic form how Subscriptions, SubscriptionCampaigns (SCs), Subscription Campaigns and sharing works:Seen from the point-of-view of a specific SubscriptionCampaign, then you work:

A Subscription Campaign can be owned by a subscription, and you it can be shared with a an SC Sharing Group (respectively 1A and 1B on the figure).

Seen from the point-of-view of a A specific Subscription , then you can own SCs, and you can use other Subscription 's SCs through by being a member of a an SC Sharing Group (respectively 2A and 2B on the figure).

Sharing Method Types

We have currently Currently, there are two methods for sharing a SCsan SC:

  • Shared Service sharing
  • Subscription Campaign Member sharing.

For more detailed information about each method, see Shared Campaigns /wiki/spaces/TelenorNorway/pages/127041711.

Sharing Group Types

A An SC can be shared with a Sharing Group Type. Currently we have defined the following as possible Sharing Group Types:

  • Subscription
  • Billing Group
  • Account

A An SC can be shared as many times as you like, and with as many different Sharing Groups Type as you like.

The only way a an SC is useful in our system is to use it for a subscription in the rating process. This means that if you specify a an SC to be shared with either a billing group or an account, then you actually mean that the SC is shared with all subscriptions under that billing group/account.

A subscription can only ever use the same instance of a campaign once for each time you rate a billing record or a fee. This means that even though a an SC has been shared with both the billing group and the account that a specific subscription belongs to, then the subscription only get gets to use the campaign instance once for each object that is rated (and belongs to the subscription).

Each of the two Sharing Methods we have available in our the Rator system supports all three Sharing Groups Types.
