A credit note is a special kind of transaction within the credit management process. The amount of the credit note will be subtracted from the open (principal) invoice amount, leaving no or a partial amount to be paid by the customer. When Simyo the Service provider refunds (a partial) amount to the customer, the invoice amount will be open again. Therefore, a credit note is usually used to close the invoice amount after a refund.
