Why is my video on Momindum sometimes of lower quality than the source?

This can be due to several things:

Momindum uses adaptive bitrate technology to adjust the quality of the video to the capacity of your network and computer. So, if your network is congested, we automatically lower the video quality to keep you playing smoothly.

It may also be due to the initial bitrate of your source file. Videos are sometimes encoded to minimize their weight but this is not compatible with web streaming. When we re-transcode them, there is a loss of quality. For example, we recommend a bitrate of 1600 kbps for a 720p video (you can find the different figures here: https://enghouseglobal.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/kb/view/86674537). So try to re-export your video with a higher bitrate (thus prioritizing quality instead of weight in your software) and you won't have any problem.
